       课程标准明确指出：“以人为本，师生共同和谐发展”，这就对我们的教师提出了更高的要求，即除了学生，教师自身素质也要提高、要发展。

       在英语教学的过程中，教师要注意：面向世界 （World-oriented）、立足中国（China-based）、植根课堂 （Classroom-rooted）。只有这样，才能完成一个教师的任务，让每一个孩子成功跨入英语学习大门，让每一个孩子体验欣赏英语语言之美，让每一个孩子养成良好英语学习习惯，让每一个孩子有一定跨文化交际能力。

       但在跟教师的接触中，我发现要做到这些并非易事，因此，有以下几条基本理念是教师在实际教学过程中需要遵循的：

       首先，要融入我国社会两大主旋律，即坚持科学发展观和建设和谐社会。科学发展观要求教师成为教育研究者，以研究为切入点，发现、分析、研究、解决教育教学中的实际问题；另外，教师还要尊重和热爱每一个学生，尊重他们的主观能动性和创造性，建立师生之间的绿色通道，在大家都很轻松的环境中，形成教师乐教，学生乐学的优化心理状态。只有如此，才能达到教学和谐、师生和谐、师师和谐、生生和谐、自我和谐、天人和谐，构建和谐课堂、和谐校园、和谐社会。

       其次，要确立英语易学的基本信念。汉语拼音方案采取的26个字母，与英语字母一样，都是拉丁字母，汉语拼音也参考了国际音标，某些发音接近英语音素。因此汉语中的语音和拼写方法都可正迁移到英语的学习中。英语的词形变化也很少，越来越接近汉语，陈述句语序基本也与汉语相同。可是为什么我们的学生在学习英语的过程中还是会感觉到很难呢？主要是教师脱离实际的理论把教学搅乱了；烦琐的教育哲学把简单问题复杂化了；题海战术把学生的聪明才智淹没了；繁重的考试任务使英语教学的目标变味了。这些都是我们的教师现在面临急需解决的问题，只有帮学生确立了英语易学的信念，才能使学生对英语学习产生兴趣。

       接下来，教师需要做的就是帮助学生成功迈开第一步。英语的入门学习有两个门槛：语音语调和单词拼读。语音语调主要是教师要指导学生学习国际音标，听录音模仿，带领学生大声朗读；而单词拼读要使学生注意音形结合，养成拼读习惯，做到：口念、耳听、手写、眼看。在初学时过好开口关很重要，争取第一次就拼对读准，学生们可以“两人为伙伴，人人开口讲，能者为老师，弱者众人帮，篇篇小对话，人人能诵读，每日三分钟，会话脱口秀。”只要学生能做到这一点，就都不会掉队。

       学生在入门之后，教师还需要培养他们养成良好的学习习惯。葛传椝先生曾说过：“其余皆次要， 阅读最为先。”熟读，就能形成语感，达到模仿，进而创新。因此在学英语的过程中，教师要加强对阅读的重视，将朗读、默读和快读结合起来，使学生做到常复习、常运用、常反馈、勤补救。学生这样在用中复习、练中复习、唱中复习、玩中复习的效果会非常好，如果教师等到问题成堆了再来补救，学生就已经掉队了。

       教师在教学过程中还要注意，英语要在活动中用，水平也要在思考中提升，因此要把握动静结合，优化学习过程。动，主要指学生活动，在动中学，在动中练，在动中用，在用中感受语言、体验语言、习得语言；静，主要指教师必要的讲解，经过学生的思考，使行为形成与认知深化有机结合。在英语学习的过程中，口头交际与阅读写作同样重要。所以，我提出，争取“让英语歌曲响彻校园，让英语对话充满课堂，让英语课堂魅力四射，让朗朗书声校园回荡，让研究进入教育教学，让师生尽情享受生活。”

       语法，历来是中国的英语教学中很重要的一个部分。Larsen-Freeman提出了语法技能(grammaring)的概念，即教师应当选用合适的教学方法，在语境中教授语法。Grammaring 不单指语法形式，而是指准确、达意、适当地应用语法的技能。教师在教授语法时应把握好“时”（什么时机教）和“度”（教多少）。就是说，语法教学要本着适时、适量的原则。适时，即某一语法现象多次出现之后，再用归纳法和学生一起归纳、小结。如：让学生说出名词前用 an 而不是a 的词：an apple, an egg, an orange, an eye, an ear 等，并和 a book, a bag, a girl, a boy等进行比较,从而归纳出相应的规律。适量，即能不讲的就不讲，要讲的一般宜粗不宜细。为了省时并准确理解，建议教师用母语讲解。享有“TESOL之父”盛誉的James E. Alatis（2004）在接受美国《英语教学论坛》杂志采访时说：“The teacher can use the native language of the students to make grammatical explanations. It goes faster, it’s clearer, and you don’t have to waste time. You can do it in minutes, and the rest of the class you can use for communicative purposes. It is more acceptable now than it used to be. I do it in my Greek classes.”

       从某种角度来说，教育教学是门艺术，是艺术就需要创新；从另一种角度来说，教育教学又是门科学，是科学就需要研究。这就对教师提出了更高的要求，在初中和高中阶段，教师需要采取不同的方法、侧重不同的方面。在初中英语教学阶段，学生更富有朝气和活力，教师就应充分运用唱歌、角色扮演、游戏活动等适当设计任务活动，帮助教学；而在高中英语教学阶段，教师需复习、梳理、整合初中知识，引入口试，要求学生人人张口说英语，还要加大阅读量和写作量。

       近几年来，在新课标的指引下，我国的中学英语教学也呈现出本土化、多样化、大众化的趋势。

       国外很多先进的教学理论都非常好，但教师在运用时要注意结合中国以及各地的实际。一种语言到一个国家、地区后，总会受到当地风俗、习惯、文化及语言的影响，因此中国的教师就要研究CHINESE ENGLISH。任务型教学在我国提出后，进展得非常快，因为它贴近中国的实际，是一种非常好的解决大班教学的方法。另一方面，中学的英语教学也越来越注重学生的口语表达，现在考查学生的标准是能不能听、能不能说，这和传统的教学观念是不一样的。教师也应提高自身的语言能力，增加语言培训，只有语言能力提高了，很多想法才能实现。教师还可以用外语作为教学语言，让学生学习另外一门学科。总之，我国的教学模式正在向着多元化的轨道发展，教育研究也正在从专业教育理论研究走向课堂，走进课堂。在这样的形势下，我国的英语教学一定会有一个更加光明的前景。
